It was more fun when we used analog lines and patch panels. I remember swiching an FM station from one tower site to another. From the studio building, the transmitter sites were about 50 degrees apart. We simply rotated the STL dish to about halfway between the old tower and the new, turned the new on, rurned the old off, and finished rotating the STL dish squarely on the new antenna. We made the switch at midnight and I dont even think anyone knew, except that our signal was better! Cool stuff, though. Used to listen to WTOP when I lived in DC and worked dor Westwood One in Arlington. First class operation!
